Well Cal didn’t play well enough to win, but the officials helped out Stanford out at the end by not over-turning two obvious bad calls by the officials. Stanford beat Cal 20-13.
First, they didn’t over-turn an interception when it was obviously dropped and had hit the ground. Second, the players foot was on the line on a critical third down pass.
The Pacific-10 officials (both on-the-field and replay) have been horrible this year. The Pacific-10 needs to seriously look at their officiating and upgrade it. For a premier college football conference to have second-tier officials is pretty bad and brings down the reputation of the league.
Just ask Oklahoma.
