A shot out to Oskar Blues Brewery – Dale’s On TNT Show

I just need to give a shout out to Oskar Blues Brewery the makers of Dale’s Pale Ale.
I was watching an episode from a couple weeks ago of Men of a Certain Age. In that episode, the character played by Ray Romano brought Dale’s to his hotel pool to drink with his bookie.

Good product placement Oskar Blues! I just love Dale’s Pale Ale!

I just love my Plantronics Voyager Pro

I just got a Plantronics Voyager Pro for a bluetooth headset for my two blackberry smartphones.
I have two blackberry smartphones and it has been hard with a headset (Jawbone) to use on both phones. It paired quickly with both phones and has been real easy to use on both phones. Since Colorado is really cracking down on not using a hands-free device, it has been real helpful.

I have always had problems with the Jawbone fitting on my error and staying in place. Plus the sound hasn’t been real loud and I have had trouble hearing calls.

That has not been an issue with the Plantronics Voyager Pro. It might seem bulky, but it is solid and fits nicely on my ear. Plus the sound is a lot better. I can hear everyone on the phone. Continue reading “I just love my Plantronics Voyager Pro”

Denver May Be Pot Capital USA

As dispensaries pop up, Denver may be Pot Capital, U.S.A. – The Denver Post
The Denver City Council should regulate the medical pot industry and restrict where dispensaries can locate. It’s there duty.

The medical marijuana industry should have to do what any other business has to do and abide by the laws of the citizens.

I find it pretty ridiculous that there are more marijuana dispensaries in the city than there are liquor stores, Starbucks coffee shops, or public schools. I find it ridiculous especially since it is for a “medicine” that has no regulation by the FDA which manages all of our medicines.

The city of Denver must do what it can to protect all of the citizens of Denver.

Happy New Year!

I just want to wish everyone a Happy New Year!
I hope you had a good 2009 and will have an even better 2010.

Idaho Vandals and the Humanitarian Bowl

This is the best sign for the Idaho Vandal football team in the last 11 years. Yesterday they beat the Bowling Green Falcons 43-42.

They drove 68 yards in three plays to score a touchdown and instead of settling for a field goal went for the win by going for two. And they succeeded.

Since playing in the 1998 Humanitarian Bowl, the Vandals have struggled. But since Robb Akey was hired three years ago, the turn-around began.

Now it is on to the next level and going for a bigger bowl game.

Let’s Go Vandals!

Technically it’s not really the end of the decade…

To help settle a debate, technically it is not really the end of the decade.
Since the common calendar began with year 1, the decade we are currently in goes through 2010, not 2009.

There was a lot of discussion about this when the calendar switched from 1999 to 2000. We were still in that decade (and century) until the calendar transferred over from 2000 to 2001.

A decade is also defined as any ten consecutive years, so if you want to go out and celebrate every New Year’s as the end of the decade you can. It’s always good to go out and celebrate on New Years.

The Indianapolis Colts screwed up

The Indianappolis Colts screwed up their perfect season and screwed up the playoff race for other teams.
They owed it to their players to go out and grab that perfect season that only one other team has managed to do in the enitre history of the NFL.

They also owed it to their fans to go out and win. Their fans pay a lot of money to go see their team play. They don’t pay to watch reserves go out and stink up the field and lose.

Additionally, they were playing a team who still was fighting for a playoff berth with other teams. The Colts owed it to those teams to go out there and play with their best players to try and beat the Jets.

Becuase the pulled Manning and other top starters, the Jets were able to pull out a win and bring themselves back into the playoff race.

It will be interesting to see if this hurts the Colts as they head into the playoffs. Will they lose their edge and swagger? If they do they will have tpo answer a bunch of questions.

Right now I have completely lost the respect I had for their organization.

At Least 4 Dead as Iranians Fight Police in Streets

At Least 4 Dead as Iranians Fight Police in Streets – NYTimes.com
The protests are growing and the opposition is getting bolder as the government is hanging on. The revolution in Iran continues.

The only reason they are hanging on is that the Iranian government thugs are shooting at unarmed protestors.

This will continue to spread and grow and will eventually lead to the downfall of the government that came to power under their own revolution.

It will be interesting to see what they do to try and hold onto power. We in the west just need to be patient and continue to share what is going on there.
