The Colorado Rockies are getting grief for only selling tickets on the Internet. But for me, this is the right way to do it.
In an article in the Rocky Mountain News, Some fans cry foul over ticket plan, Rockies fans were complaining that scalpers are going to get most of the tickets.
But I disagree. Scalpers are going to have the same chance to get the tickets as the general fan. In fact, the way MLB has the ticket sites set up, I think they have less of a chance because they are not going to be able to use the automated software to get them.
The scalpers would be able to have people stand in line just the same as going on line. But this way prevents people wasting time in line and gives people an equal chance of getting a ticket to the game.
I will be online at 10 AM MDT trying to get my ticket.

Geno’s in Philadelphia, originally uploaded by Mile High Soapbox on Flickr.
This was a nice walk this afternoon. I just headed down 9th Street from Market from my hotel and headed straight for Geno’s Steaks.
The neighborhood that I walked through was unique and good to see. The curb market was also unique. Coming from the west, it is something that we don’t have.
Of couse there was a line at Geno’s (and one at Pat’s). But I was told to go to Geno’s, so I did.
I ordered, “Provolone with.” I got my Cheesesteak and headed for the next window to get my cheese fries and a diet coke. I then added relish and Golden’s Mustard.
This was my first Cheesesteak and it was how I imagined it. It was hot and it was delicious.
If you are in Philadelphia, you need to head down and go to Geno’s. It does not get better than this.
Yeah! net@nite is coming back.
Thanks Amber and Leo for bringing this netcast back. It is a wonderful to listen to you and Amber talk about their favorite web picks.
I don’t mind that it is not going to be live because I never was able to listen to it live.
Thanks and I look forward to it coming back. net@nite is one of my favorite netcasts.
I don’t know what the problem is, but I have been trying to get on the Rocky Mountain News Website all afternoon and it has been down.
It just keeps trying to download the page and it never completes the download.
Just be warned when you are trying to get to it.
The Denver Post – Rockies owners must go
This article was written in May after the Rockies struggled in a series against the Kansas City. Mark Kizla got it all wrong in this column. The owners made a commitment to build from within and they are going to have a stronger team because of it.
It was going to take a while to build a strong team and there were going to be struggles.
But they far exceeded everyones expectations, except their own, and are now playing in the World Series. They are going to have a strong team for a long time. It is only the beginning.
Go Rockies!
The Denver Post – Stranded visitors get lift from mayor
This is great. The Mayor of Denver John Hickenlooper stopped to pick up these elderly men who were visiting Denver and needed some help.
Denver is a great city and the Mayor wants to make sure everyone is comfortable. This is an example of his down home style that has made him the toast of the town and has got him elected to his second term.
Way to go Mayor!
It’s official: Leopard to go on sale October 26 | Tech news blog – CNET News.com
Apple has now made it official. Leopard will launch on October 26 at 6 PM. If you want to keep track, Apple has put a countdown timer on their website.
The news also gets better for those of you who bought an Apple computer after October 1. You can get a copy of Leopard for free. The only problem is that they are charging you $9.95 for shipping.
There are a lot of good features in this and will help Apple continue to gain on Windows.
The Colorado Rockies did it. They beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 6-4 and dominated the National League Championship Series to head to the World Series.
The Rockies were patient and capitalized on mistakes to take a 6-1 lead and held on to win. Corpas came on to get the last out of the eighth inning and then had the nasty stuff working to get the three outs in the ninth.
I have to admit that I was quite nervous. The last three outs in the ninth in the game you are trying to clinch are always the toughest. But Corpas got it down.
This is an amazing run and will continue. Watch out American League, this team is for real. It is going to be tough to cool them down.
Go Rockies! You are the National League Champs!
