Boulder woman ticketed for dyeing her poodle pink

Boulder woman ticketed for dyeing her poodle pink:The Rocky Mountain News
This is just nuts and would only happen in the People’s Republic of Boulder. This is a community that allowed someone to steal property from someone else because those landowners were not around to stop it.

The People’s Republic seems more intent showing that they have power and will use it than using common sense in carrying out there jobs. Now someone has to waste their own time and city has to waste the courts time in deciding on this issue.

A women is using beet juice and sometimes kool-aid to dye the dog’s hair. The dog is not having a reaction to it.

Common sense needs to prevail in this issue and the court needs to throw it out. Maybe they should personally charge the humane society for the wasted time of the court also.

A flophouse of bloggers…

When I got out of college, we headed to a ski town, or nearby, and settled with a bunch of similar-minded people and skied all winter long. We had a bunch of parties and worshiped powder days.
But there is a new kind of flophouse and that is in Washington, D.C. where several bloggers have moved in together and now have a flophouse of bloggers.

According to an article in the New York Times, Washington Doesn’t Sleep Here, “The Flophouse bloggers may not be part of the traditional mainstream news media, but they are certainly part of the mainstream blogosphere that is helping drive discourse in the city and the country.” Continue reading “A flophouse of bloggers…”

Daylight Savings Time Begins…

Well this is the second time that Daylight Savings Time is beginning the second Sunday in March. Even though I like the sun being out later, it is quite dark in the morning.
I have been quite exhausted at work and this will only intensify this week because of the lost hour of sleep tonight.

Congress passed the new Daylight Savings Time rules as part of the Energy Bill a couple of years ago to save energy. But there are reports recently that more energy is used than saves because we switch so early.

As mentioned earlier I like the sun, but I am not sure it is worth the additional energy.

Airplane fights wind and almost crashes..

All I have to say is wow.
This is one of the most amazing videos of a near plane crash that I have seen. Those pilots were amazing to keep it flying and get it up in the air to try and land again.

Check it out.

From Spring to Winter

Well spring has been short-lived in Denver. After the last few days of mid-60’s and 74 today, winter returns tomorrow.
The weather forecasters were telling us that the weather coming for Sunday wouldn’t be a problem and that at most it would be flurries. But it is now worse.

We are supposed to get 3-6 inches at our house with more nearby. And it is supposed to be quite windy, so we may see blizzard conditions. Great job weather forecasters.

Now don’t get me wrong, I am loving the snow. It means that we are having a great water year and everything is going to be quite green. After many dry years, the reservoirs should be full and we may be able to make a dent in filling other reservoirs in the west.

Let it snow, but it would be good to have some better forecasting so we can be prepared for it.
