Well we didn’t get what we expected but at least we got a little snow.
Happy Easter
Happy Easter from Colorado as we are social distancing.
It was 72 degrees yesterday and it’s now 30. We received some snow overnight, enough to cover the pansies.

Don’t move to Denver unless you like snow in May
For those wanting to move to Denver, just now that it is May 9 and the temperature is just over freezing and it’s snowing. It’s been snowing since last night.
Spring may show up someone, but we never know.
Oh. It could snow over Fourth of July weekend too. I’ve seen it happen.
When will summer get here?
The snow is coming, hopefully
The snow is coming Wednesday into Thursday. At least I’m hoping it does. It’s been awhile since we have had a big storm.
This is what Accuweather is predicting for my town.
Let’s hope this materializes.
All of this snow is great, but it will likely be months before we know the impact on Colorado’s drought – The Colorado Sun
If you were expecting an overnight solution to Colorado’s drought, which has been particularly acute in the southwest part of the state, don’t hold your breath.

It’s gone from summer to almost winter in Colorado
The first day of fall was at the end of last week but Saturday brought cold and rain to the metro area and snow to the mountains just as the fall colors were peaking.
It looks like it improves next weekend.
The good news is we got a lot of moisture.
Snow, freezing temperatures tonight, Tuesday
Snow, freezing temperatures tonight, Tuesday : The Rocky Mountain News
Tell me about it. I was playing softball and the umpire didn’t stop the game and made us stand out there and freeze. I thought we were going to kill ourselves.
It was so dark we could barely see the ball, the wind was blowing so it was tough to catch the balls that you could see, the bases were so slippery and covered with mud – if you could find the bag you will kill yourself when you slipped on it, and it was so cold and wet that you couldn’t grip the bat.
Well we lost and now I am wet, cold, and miserable.
I am ready to crawl into bed and just get warm. I need something warm to drink.
Anniversary of 2006 Blizzard
Today marks the first annivesary of the first of two blizzards to hit Denver over Christmas last year. It was plain nasty around here.
I had to pick my sister in-law up from the airport. It just started to snow on my way there. It took me 30 minutes to get to the airport and two hours to get home. It was not a fun day.
The forecast for this year, warm near 50 degrees. The next chance for snow is tomorrow and it is only for a couple of inches.
We need snow here in Denver, I am just hoping that we don’t get 30+ inches at one time.
More Snow Coming to Denver…
Another snowstorm is bearing down upon the Denver area.
By tomorrow evening it will be extremely cold and we could have up to 5 inches of snow.
I just love winter!
