Storm Leaves Colorado

The storm left Colorado and it didn’t do too much damage to the metro Denver area.  Most snow totals in the metro area were in the 8 to 10 inch range.  Which on top of last weeks storm is quite a bit of snow.
But Boulder and the foothills got hammered, mainly on Saturday night.  Snow totals are anywhere from 24 to 48 inches.

These two storms have been tough, but the moisture that state got was needed badly and should help us out this summer.  I know the farmers got to be loving this.

UPS Finally Delivers Package

Well after being in Denver for a week, United Parcel Service (UPS) finally delivered the package.
I can’t believe it took so long for them to do this. I would have expected delivery on Friday, Saturday, and no later than Tuesday.  It should not have taken an additional two days.

Well, you finally delivered it UPS.  Don’t expect any more business from us!

Another Snow Storm Moving Into Denver

Another snowstorm is moving into the Denver area and it is expected to begin after 12 PM on 12/28.
It will be interesting to see what happens and how this one is handled compared to the previous one.  The problem with this storm is that the roads in the neighborhoods have not been cleared completely, there are shortages at the gas stations, and the grocery stores have been running out of the staples – milk, bread, and produce.  Some stores have only received one shipment of merchandise since the last storm.

A winter storm warning has been posted and they are calling for 10 to 18 inches of snow by Friday morning with blowing and drifting snow.  More heavy snow is expected through Friday until Saturday morning.

More on this one as it develops.

UPS Still Not Coming Through

United Parcel Service (UPS) is still not coming through in Denver.  It has now almost seven days since the package arrived at their regional facility here and they still have not delivered it.
I spoke with customer service and they have no clue what is going on or when my package will be delivered.  With another snowstorm bearing down on Colorado, who knows when it will show up.

In an interview published on ZDNET, the UPS CIO said that they will become more efficient and save $600 million a year by “through package flow technologies that include preloading vehicles in the morning, routing drivers according to volume and favoring right-hand turns.”  If they can’t even deliver packages, how do they expect to do this?

I expect them to lose a lot of money on this.

UPS, I WANT MY PACKAGE!

Looks Like Others Are Having the Same Problem…

Gremlin has a pretty good post on his problems with United Parcel Service.  He is getting the run-around also from the customer service reps who have no clue where Colorado is and that it has stopped snowing here.
They also have no clue on where their distribution center is compared to Denver.  For those of you who don’t know, it is two to three blocks from the city boundary with Denver in Commerce City.

Here is Gremlin’s Post, Severe Weather.

Good luck to you Gremlin!

United Parcel Service Is Incompentent!

United Parcel Service (UPS) still hasn’t delivered our package that should have been delivered.  You can read the previous posts to see the whole story.
No one knows what is going on at UPS.

The first tried to blame it on the airport (it was shipped by ground), then they blamed it on the roads in the neighborhood (they were delivering in our neighborhood on Friday on Saturday), and then they don’t know what to say.

I wouldn’t buy stock in UPS.  They can’t deliver packages at all.

If you are looking at shipping anything, you shouldn’t use UPS.  They won’t meet your needs.

More Information On How UPS Screwed Up

I finally got more information on how United Parcel Service (UPS) screwed up and did not deliver the Christmas package with all the gifts from Grandma and Grandpa.
We did some tracking and found out more on the path of the package that were shipped by United Parcel Service (UPS) and didn’t arrive for Christmas.

The package was shipped from California on Saturday and was picked up that day.  It was held Wednesday in Salt Lake City, Utah, because of the weather in Denver.  This is understandable.

What is not understandable is that that it arrived in Denver and was scanned in at their distribution facility at about 5:00 PM on Thursday evening and it is still sitting there.

There is no reason or excuse that UPS has for not delivering this package.  Especially after Grandma and Grandpa paid them $77.00 to send all their Christmas gifts for our family, including their one and three year old grandkids.

There has been a lot of people affected by the Blizzard that hit Denver, and I feel for all they went through.  But UPS should have delivered those packages.
