I am wondering why people try and cross interstate highways, in the middle of town, with a ton of traffic going across them?
The Rocky Mountain News had a story in Friday’s edition where someone was killed Friday evening for trying to cross Interstate 25 near 58th Avenue. This is just plan nuts!
Crossing I-25 through the middle of Denver is crazy in itself because the volume of traffic going north and southbound. But this section is particularly crazy. It is at least 10 lanes total and traffic is going at least 65 to 70 mph.
At the end of rush hour on a Friday evening I saw someone crossing I-25 where it merges with US 36 and I-76. He almost got hit several times and I just missed him. I called the CSP, but don’t know if they picked him up.
There are many places to go over or under the Interstate through this section. They should make better choices.
I guess this is a form of Darwinism.
