Safari Not So Safe on Windows

CNET published a story this morning discussing how three researchers found different security holes within Safari for Windows.
“One security researcher Avi Raff called out Safari’s statement ‘Apple’s engineers designed Safari to be secure from day one.’ Raff was able to find a vulnerability within three minutes using publicly available fuzzing tools”

Read CNET’s article, “Safari for Windows not so secure“.

I would be careful for a while with Safari on Windows.

Reporter Blogging NCAA Regional Baseball Game Kicked Out

A reporter for The Courier-Journal in Louisville, Kentucky, was told that blogging at games was against NCAA regulations and was escorted from the game.
Brian Bennett had been blogging the third game of the Louisville – Oklahoma State Super Regional baseball game, just like he had done the previous two games when he was approached by a representative of the NCAA and told what he was doing violated NCAA regulations and the NCAA official pulled his credential for the game. Correct an Earlier Post – Safari Didn’t Crash My Google Apps

I just want to correct in earlier post where I said that Safari for Windows crashed my Google apps, “Don’t Download Safari for Windows – It’s Not Working Real Well
Well apparently Google had an outage that caused about half of their subscribers to lose their subscriptions, “Todays Outage“.

Sorry Safari.

Don’t download Safari for Windows.

I did and it has created problems for me. The main problem I found is that it somehow erased all my settings in iGoogle, Google Reader, Google Notebook, Google Docs and my news feeds that display on Google News. This happened when I set Safari to be my default browser. Continue reading “Don’t Download Safari for Windows – It’s Not Working Real Well”

WWDC 2007

Watching the posts from the keynote on Macrumors Live.

Cost Plus Provides Good Service

I just want to commend Cost Plus #172 in Thornton, Colorado.
We were purchasing some Adirondack Chairs and the ones we wanted were at the bottom.  They helped us get them and take them to the car.

Also there was a problem with the price on one of our items and they checked it out and adjusted the price.

They were really nice and helpful and it made for a pleasant experience to shop there.

Thanks.
