At a town hall meeting at a stop at a biodiesel plant on November 6. Clinton campaign staff spoke with people in the audience about questions and planted questions they should ask.
Grinnel College student Muriel Gallo-Chasanoff, some of the questions from the audience were planned in advance. “They were canned,” she said. Before the event began, a Clinton staff member approached Gallo-Chasanoff to ask a specific question after Clinton’s speech. “One of the senior staffers told me what [to ask].” (source: Scarlet and Black, Grinnel College)
This is totally unacceptable. Campaigns should not be planting questions. But in these tightly controlled campaigns these days, campaigns are trying to script everything.
But they should not be able to script town halls or press conferences. This is reserved for the public and the media, for the public, to ask questions and to get answers they are not hearing in the speeches, stumps, or on the candidates website.
This stunt only backs up how controlled Hillary really is in this campaign. It is like a machine, spewing information they only want you to hear and unable to take any other input and spew out an answer to that input. Clinton is becoming known as a double-talker and not answering the tough questions.
In an article on Fox News, campaign spokesman “Mo Elliethee admitted that the campaign had planted the question and said it would not happen again.” Elliethee tried to qualify this by stating, “…Senator Clinton did not know which questioners she was calling on during the event. This is not standard policy and will not be repeated again.”
This is a contradiction to what Gallo-Chasanoff says. According to her, “…noted that staffers prompted Clinton to call on her and another who had been approached before the event.” Clinton did call on others, but those questions were off the message of the week and confusing.
I think this goes to the credibility of Clinton and everyone she has on her campaign. Because these are the type of people who will be running the country if she is elected. If she is making these decisions now, we would be best not to elect her to the Presidency because those bad decisions will continue.

Hillary supporters: please don’t get discouraged. PLEASE. She is getting attacked from all sides because people deep down know she is our only hope for America and they’re trying to ruin it for everybody. Hillary is the ONLY candidate with these 4 attributes: honor, patriotism, loyalty, and kindness. I got $35 in the bank that says no other candidate has those attributes.

I don’t think that she is under attack. She is only being held to the standard that we should hold those who want to be President. We all have the right to ask questions that we believe need to be answered and have those questions answered, not double-speak, not dodging the question, and not placing or planting questions.

I agree with Peter. I don’t think she is under attack at all. This was a town hall meeting format and by planting questions you loose the benefit of this type of meeting. Why shouldn’t Hilary Clinton be held to the same standards as every other candidate. I saw the debate where she dodged the question about issuing licenses to illegal immigrants and she did not like it when she was challanged. We need to know what our presendiatal candiates believe in and stand for and I think Hilary stands for what ever the poles say.
