One of my favorite blogs to read is 43 Folders. It has a lot of useful information and is quite enjoyable to read. Especially since I try to follow Getting Things Done by David Allen.
Well they have just updated there site and it looks great. You can register to comment on stories, participate in the forum, and customize your visit to the site.

Fox strikes deal for free shows on iTunes | One More Thing – CNET News.com
I like this trend, but I don’t think that ABC and NBC are going about it correctly. They are doing it with their own DRM and only from their website and ignoring the number one video player in the business, the iPod.
By involving the iPod, Fox will get large distribution that will hopefully turn into more viewers. But, the studios and advertisers don’t pay attention to people who download shows or record them on their DVR.
Jon Leland of Media Mall has a good comparison on his post about this subject. “NBC ‘s shows expire after one week and are loaded with commercials. This was one of the best baseball games of the year. The Colorado Rockies beat the San Diego Padres in 14 innings by a score of 2-1.
It was a pitcher’s duel and you knew it was going to be a tough one with Jake Peavy pitching for the Padres. The probable Cy Young winner is tough on everyone and had his good stuff going early.
But the Rockies had rookie Franklin Morales going for them and coming into this game he has not given up a run in 11 innings of work. And this was a pitcher’s duel. Continue reading “Rockies Win 2-1”
I just needed a change, a big change.
I was tired of the design of the old site. I was using a Cutline 3 column theme and is was starting to wear-me-down. Also it was a good time since WordPress is getting ready to release 2.3.
I am now using a theme called Paalam. It is a two column theme and works with WordPress widgets. So far I am really happy with it. I have adjusted the colors a little to better match the photo I am using, but otherwise I have not changed anything. I will probably need to update the code to work with the tags coming in WordPress 2.3.
The photo is the same one I have used since I started the blog and is a photo of the peaks above Breckenridge, Colorado. You can ask for anything prettier than that.
Let me know what you think of the look.
I just want to know what is happening with the media these days. The circus that was created today around the O.J. hearing and the mess following when he was released on bail.
The media these days is going for stories that many of us could care less about. I personally could care less about what O.J. did in Las Vegas.
Who also cares about what Britney is doing or not doing? Not me. This is not news that should be on the national stage. It may be in news that covers celebrities or Hollywood, but not CNN or MSNBC.
Well, I took the big plunge this weekend and headed to my high school reunion to see everyone. I can’t believe that it has been 20 years since we all graduated from high school, East Union High School in Manteca, Calif., class of 1987.
It began as a fun evening at a local brew pub in Manteca at Kelley Brothers Brewing Company. The company was great and the band that was playing was incredible, it helped also that one of our fellow graduates was playing also, but the beer was horrible. Continue reading “At my high school reunion…”

I attended the Rockies game with my daughter today. We had a fun time.
Well I was catching up on my MacBreak Weekly episodes and was listening to Episode 51 and all they did throughout the episode was play this YouTube video, Chocolate Rain. I had to put it here for you.
It is certainly catchy. And because it has over 8 million views, he has sung this song on Jimmy Kimmel’s show, see performance.
Variety.com – Apple seeks TV price cut
This could be one of the reasons why NBC left, but I think the media companies are crazy. They will make a lot more money in increased volume in downloads from the iTunes store, selling TV shows for $.99, than they would selling them for $1.99.
The story tries to say how much money the studios would lose in the DVD market if Apple gets their way. For example, the recently released Heroes DVD is selling for $40, but if it were to be sold in the iTunes music store, it would be $23. Continue reading “Variety.com – Apple seeks TV price cut”
Another Blackberry outage | Tech news blog – CNET News.com
I use a Blackberry and didn’t notice any problem or issue. It must have been pretty isolated or for a small group of users.
Will see what the investigation says.
I love my Blackberry. I hate when there is a service disruption. Luckily I didn’t experience it today.
