Correct an Earlier Post – Safari Didn’t Crash My Google Apps

I just want to correct in earlier post where I said that Safari for Windows crashed my Google apps, “Don’t Download Safari for Windows – It’s Not Working Real Well
Well apparently Google had an outage that caused about half of their subscribers to lose their subscriptions, “Todays Outage“.

Sorry Safari.

And I am a little upset that Google had this outage and didn’t notify people by GMail of the problem. I just logged in and everything was back. But at least it is fixed and I will download and try Safari again.

Don’t Download Safari for Windows – It’s Not Working Real Well

I just want to say beware of downloading Safari for Windows. It is in Beta and needs a lot more work.
Don’t download Safari for Windows.

I did and it has created problems for me. The main problem I found is that it somehow erased all my settings in iGoogle, Google Reader, Google Notebook, Google Docs and my news feeds that display on Google News. This happened when I set Safari to be my default browser. Continue reading “Don’t Download Safari for Windows – It’s Not Working Real Well”

WWDC 2007

Watching the posts from the keynote on Macrumors Live.
There are already cool things happening.

  • Games from EA
  • New Desktop
  • New Finder

It will be interesting to see what else happens and comes out.

Cost Plus Provides Good Service

I just want to commend Cost Plus #172 in Thornton, Colorado.
We were purchasing some Adirondack Chairs and the ones we wanted were at the bottom.  They helped us get them and take them to the car.

Also there was a problem with the price on one of our items and they checked it out and adjusted the price.

They were really nice and helpful and it made for a pleasant experience to shop there.

Thanks.

Flight on United Airlines from Washington National to Denver

I had a flight last night, June 8, from Washington National Airport to Denver International Airport and it did not go well.
Granted the pilot did what he could and made up almost 30 minutes, but we sat on the tarmac in DC for about an hour.

I am glad to be back home now.

Denver Post web feeds are a joke

I like to read news via RSS.  I use Google Reader to read posts and I am trying to add the Denver Post to the reader so I can read the feeds.
But, they are driving me to use their own reader.  I just want the feeds.  Give me the feeds.

Contrast that to the Rocky Mountain News, the Post competitor, and they provide a whole page of rss feeds.

This is the way to do it.  Make it easy for me to get and subscribe to the information.  I always knew why I like the Rocky better.

Major League Baseball Too Restrictive In Broadcast of Games

I am a subscriber of the Premium MLB.TV. This is an online service that allows you to watch any MLB game on the Internet at 700k.
But MLB blacks-out your local market games, so for me I am unable to watch the Colorado Rockies games.

The only problem is that I am in Washington, D.C., on business travel. So I can’t watch the live broadcast as MLB and the Rockies would like.

It would be nice if I am traveling that I would be able to watch the game. I guess next year I won’t give MLB their money and I will put it towards a Slingbox. Continue reading “Major League Baseball Too Restrictive In Broadcast of Games”
